In ffxiv, I already said it in a previous post but mixed race marriage is a social taboo, well, it's mostly procreation that is taboo (sex is fine) since such pregnancy are rarely successful (real reason is because devs didn't wanted more work by making mixed race option on characters lol)
so the fact that Rei managed four pregnancies is a real miracle in itself, and in such case mom's gene are mostly superior therefor the kid will likely have the most feature from their mother's race, that why they're all little kitty too ! That's all !
