March Postcard Process Video

Good afternoon, blackbirds! The complete process video for March’s postcard is now available for you to view! This one’s a fun one because I left all my reference materials directly on the canvas, so you can get a sense of what I’m looking at and how I’m using it as I go. As in February and January’s videos, my color palette references are in there as well. ;P Enjoy, and feel free to leave any questions below!

While we’re on the subject of process — For some of the postcards I’ve posted the complete line art as a WIP while I was working on the piece. What kinds of process work do you enjoy seeing? What would you like to see more of? What are the behind-the-scenes things artists share that you get the most out of? Let me know in the comments!

Edit: It’s worth noting that these process videos, when raw, are actually usually 15-25 minutes long! I condense them down to 2-2:30, and do some editing to adjust length so that — for example — lineart, which is easily the longest step, moves quickly, and painting, which is a blip in comparison, is slowed down. I edit them down because I don’t expect people to have much interest in a longer video; however, if that IS something you would be interested in so that you can see what I’m doing in much more detail, let me know so I can consider it! How long of a process video would you personally be interested in? What steps would you want to see in the most detail?
