Updates and more!

Hey everyone,

First, off Patrons $15+ check your dropboxes. I've posted a photo set that I took of Kristy Jessica when we were in St Louis (the photo above is from that set), and then patrons $20+ I've added a new photoset of me from Brian Lynch that I modeled for earlier this month.

This set of Kristy I think is so gorgeous! I'm really excited about it because it was one of the first times I was able to step away from photos, come back to them and say "I think my work is improving"... I also edited this on my new laptop (actually I've had it about a year, but I just put photoshop on it) and the colors are soooooOOOOOO much better than the other computer I was editing on. My other computer everything was coming out yellow-which I wouldn't see until I saw it on another monitor.

How has everyone's September been going? Mine has been crazy busy!  My trips have been really back to back to back lately. I went to Toronto and Wisconsin this month. I got to photograph Titania, I modeled a lot, I shot a bunch of amazing content for patreon, I got back to Los Angeles and have had a LOT of local work... its been good-and Vegas is coming up next week. But I'm not gonna lie, I'm tired. I am in need of some serious downtime and a spa day. I've been trying to catch up on photo editing, and sometimes I feel a little like I'm drowning in work. I'm also drowning in stuff to do at home. I hate complaining to you all, but sometimes I just need to vent, right? So here we go, lol.

So my apartment that I live in and love, is evicting the entire building in January so they can tear down these vintage buildings and put up a high rise condo. Its a bummer. It's such a beautiful place, and I love the old fixtures and the location. I was supposed to be moving into my cousin's rental house at the start of the year,  but last week the landlord just upped the rent significantly and now it's far out of my budget. This is a big problem because I told my cousin I would take her large dog from her roommate at the end of the year (she just moved to NYC for med school). Now I need to find a property that allows 2 dogs and has a yard.  I love Los Angeles, but I fear that it is outpricing me from its market. Everything I'm looking at is insane. The cheapest place I found was $1600 a month for a 500sqft studio apartment, lol. Most of the month of November I'll be in Australia, so I'm starting to panic at needing to find a place. Anyone have a house I can rent in SoCal? lol. So anyway, if my stress levels seem high, I'm sorry. There's a lot on my plate right now. Are any of you struggling with the housing market? Its a mess for renters and buyers it seems.

Despite the survival stresses, I've had a lot of great stuff happening with my job. My Instagram has grown like crazy this summer, I've been getting more local work and more modeling opportunities, as well as more patrons. I'm so excited to share my art with so many new people. That reminds me-I mentioned it before in an earlier post, but anyone who is $20+ who joined after the 6th, I will be sending out your signed prints next month. I usually do it at the start of each month... now I'm thinking maybe I should be doing it at the end of the month. I'll probably start that in November since I'll be traveling from Nov 1-thanksgiving.

Anyway, back to patreon growing... have yall noticed how many sets have been going up this month?! The more patrons I have, the more I can focus on this, and the less I need to tour. My goal is to travel on my terms, not because I have to. So thank you all for being here. I hope you are loving the content I've been posting.

I better hop off of the computer. I'm late for a friend's birthday party.

xoxo

OMG I totally understand the apartment feels. I love my place in NE LA but it's getting so expensive. I look at zillow/redfin/realtor/trulia to maybe think about buying but that's even worse and I just fear that I'm gonna end up out in the IE which is not ideal for anyone.
