I'm so sad to make this post, but a lot of people love Coco and would want to know that she passed away last night.

Bug (as she came to be known), had an incredibly spoiled life with me, and she deserved it. I have never met a more happy, loving animal than her and she brought my boyfriend and I a lot of joy (except when she got into the garbage). She was the best dog-child, and I genuinely feel like she is what held me together during one of the hardest times of my life. Bug eagerly rode in a uhaul from Florida to California with me to start anew. She took turns sitting in me and Titania's laps the entire drive, and made friends in every state along the way. As my bff Titania said on that trip, it's impossible to be depressed when you wake up to such pure love and excitement in the mornings. I couldn't have asked for a better companion. After that trip, Bug went on several short modeling tours with me, and made many friends on the west coast.

Bug was diagnosed with cancer in early August, and we are so fortunate to have gotten 6.5 months with her post-diagnosis. Yesterday she woke up not wanting to eat, and started declining very quickly throughout the night. I had to make the call and do what was best to avoid longer than necessary suffering.

Please give me some time to process this. I'm pretty heart broken. I know she was an elderly dog, but I also owned her almost a third of my life and waking up without her at my feet is going to be hard for a while. Truly the worst part of pet ownership is that we have longer life spans than they do.
