Holy Poll-y!

Yeah, I don't know; I like puns and the title came to mind and sounded "punny"? 

I have a new poll for all of you little pets that I believe you will be rather excited to participate in...well, at least I hope so. Before we get the voting, I would just like for you to read what I have posted; it is a bit of information about what I have learned about the true BDSM community and the lifestyles which they appear to live throughout the years. 

I want to make sure that when you vote, you vote knowing exactly what you are voting for. If you are a BDSM expert, awesome, still read to ensure you haven't forgotten something. Oh, and feel free to enlighten me if I have stated something out of date or just false. As I previously said, I do have knowledge with this very intriguing fetish/lifestyle. However, I may have missed somethings but this is all written as informative to the best of my knowledge and also in relation to the poll!

A Lesson For Those Who Don't Know

This is what BDSM actually stands for--last I checked:

BD = Bondage and Discipline 

DS = Dominance and submission (D/s)

SM = Sadism and Masochism 

Dom, Domme, sub, slave, OH MY!

Maybe you already know what these all mean, in which case, I don't not like that cocky little attitude you have, nonetheless, I am impressed with, pet. 

• Dom - simply put, this is a shortened version of the male role called Dominant. I would not say this is title, as I haven't ever encountered a time I heard a sub/slave answer their Dom with "yes, Dom." Dominant is the more of declaration given to the leader because he is, indeed, the one in control and is the Dominant.
• Domme - This is the same definition as above, only this is the description is based on the portrayal of female Dominant. Slapping the extra M & E on the end there makes seem a little more sexy, does it not?
• Dom/me or Dom/Domme - yep, just the inclusion of both male and female to make it a little less wordy.
• sub - sub is mostly defined by, but not limited to, as one submitting some or all control to their Dominant. The acts within a D/s relationship will vary. This type of power-exchange play is usually for a limited amount of time and does not require the degree of commitment as a slave.
• slave - a slave is a participant who has given themselves completely to their Dominant voluntarily. This is a great commitment for both Dom/me and the slave. The slave is considered property and has ultimately surrendered their entire being to servitude and whatever their Dominant orders, in a most likely 24/7 living situation. 
• sub/slave - just a way of grouping submissive type individuals in context, similar to Dom/me.

Honorifics 

In BDSM, a sub should ALWAYS capitalize their Dom/me's title, also known as the Dominants'  honorific. When a sub or slave addresses their Dom/me by their titles, such as Master or Mistress and their titles are capitalized, this shows proper form, respect, obedience, and manners from the submissives/slaves. If sub/slave fails to capitalize their Owner's title, this shows the subs or slaves may not think the Dominant is worthy of a capitalizing or it can be plainly seen as insulting. 

Subs and slaves should not ever have capitalization in their title which would be sub or slave. This also applies to any personal names, like "pet" "toy", etc. Therefore, when you see the word "slave" in the mod, know that it is not a grammatical mistake because it has not been capitalized because that would imply the slave as a equal...and we know that isn't the case, right??? ;)  

The CAS Submissive trait will be capitalized and I have decided this because subs and slaves are nouns, and this trait is an adjective that describes a trait the Sim has. It is not the Sim's title, therefore, it will capital S. Any other time a sub or slave may be capitalized is if a sentence begins with one the names. Proper English will always overcome any alternative. But omg, how it does drive me wild to see incorrect grammatical terms, titles, etc. written by someone who claims to be involved in the BDSM community. Maybe that blogger needs more flogger...lessons. Like, to help be better at being a proper and seemingly true member of the lifestyle? 

Options: 

*Remember, this is a vote for the testing mod and the main focus for it. Everything I have placed available to vote on, will be available eventually in the full mod version.*

For the testing mod, would you prefer the focus--such as the dynamic which will occur between the Dom Sim and the submissive Sim--to be directed more towards: 

Bondange and Discipline - this will include interactions which are  made available once a particular relationship goal has been met. This is what I have referred to as the Training skill. The Domineering Sim will have the skill "Discipline" to increase and the Submissive Sim will have the skill "Obedience" to increase. 

As for bondage goes, though, I am working on some ideas, but I cannot guarantee it will be available for the tester mod initially. 

Dom/sub - this will focus more on the interactions the Sims can engage in with each other. Autonomy will be more likely to take place and the relationship between the two Sims will have more detail for the tester mod. There will be a larger number of buffs and whims as  moods will also be more centered around. 

Sadistic/masochistic - I am thinking I would create these subjects as reward traits given after completing an aspiration or perhaps a few goal-set events. The reward traits will unlock a separate pie menu category--one for Sadistic, one for masochistic--to reveal, well, Sims engaging in painful animations and enjoying it...or maybe not. Buffs and whims relating to such will become available, and maybe unique moods for each of the additional traits.
