I *have* to raise sticker prices... but I don't know how much

I took mostly sticker commissions in this most recent batch of commissions, and I'm hurting for money a bit right now (I was also expecting my tax return to be here by now, and it's not). I'm not in *immediate* danger or anything, but I can't spend any money on leisure/non-essentials this month or it could be seen as downright irresponsible.

So $12 per sticker isn't going to cut it. And I don't know if the $15 I previously thought of would change that much. I'd really hate to go to $20, but it's looking like I'll have to, especially since I don't want to charge for extra characters in a 512x512px drawing.

What do you guys think? Is $20 too much?

IMHO 20 is fine, it's still work - no matter if it's 512x512 or bigger.

honestly i say $20 is reasonable. i've seen plenty of people who have been working very hard on stickers and not charge enough. if people arent gonna buy it at that price it will mean that you'll get less sticker coms & likely more people commisioning regular coms.

Considering you are doing your stickers in packs instead of singles, $20 does not feel like too much. Up to 10 stickers for $20 feels fair actually. This is assuming your keeping the current pack number as is.

Your art is good and your stickers get lots of kudos. But $20 is on the high side so you will likely see a decrease in sticker commissions. I have always felt an artist must set the price that works for them and their efforts more then the going rates.

I *heard* someone charges $30 per sticker, but I can't remember who >_> I definitely don't want to go that high, though.

I kinda feel it might border on too much, but maybe there’s a compromise somewhere? Discount for larger packs, $17 instead of $20, etc. Ultimately it really comes down to if people want to and can pay for it — I just don’t know of any other artist that charges that much so there might be a reason for it.
