I'm honestly surprised that there hasn't been a good update since October of last year. It been 8 months and half that time has been excuses on lack of development and the other half has been literally nothing. If you guys are really that determined on giving people what they paid MONEY for, you would treat finding a new artist like a full time job instead of put your patrons on hold for 8 months. I don't know about you or anyone else who is still sticking around, but I cannot continue to support a content creator who would rather spend more time apologizing for nothing getting done instead of working hard to find a new artist to continue creating more content. I figured I would come back around after a few months to see if any sort of progress has been made since march and nothing. I hope for the best for you and I hope that you'll update your patrons, but until then I can't continue to stick around. I would say that i'm angry for the lack of updates, but its more surprise and disappointment. Honestly, I have more hope for Half Life 3 coming out than an update from you.

Honestly people have been a bit agressive but it looks reasonable to me to start pulling pledges until something happens. You guys made great content but if it doesn't come around anymore...

Yes, we're sorry about that. Just be glad we're not GRR Martin though, he hasn't released a book for 8 years. 6 months is too much though, but we'll get there.

In my opinion I dont think anyone should really support this patreon page until there is an update of some sort. Because its almost halfway through 2019 and there hasnt really been an update in over half a year. If anything you should be issuing refunds to your patreon supporters for the money you have been stealing..........

if they do return with an actual content update, i'll donate again. 'til further notice, i'll be following to see where things land.

Yeah, Marble Syrup... you guys have a good history of games. Re: Maid and Crusoe are two of my all time favorite VNs that I've ever played. But without a reliable artist it is very hard to create VISUAL novels. I have been dropping $5 a month for about 2 years now hoping to see another great game surface. NW was a bit too depressing for my taste and the writing for Bron feels like a lack of caring for the game more than a series of tongue in cheek jokes to me. I regrettably cannot wait any longer while you guys slow roll the patrons to death. I'll miss you guys, but perhaps I'm wrong and you'll return to the glory days? I hope so.

They don't seem to be doing this fulltime, so it's not like they are relying on this Patreon to live (my guess), but if they get no money for developing and have to use money out of their pockets... if without that this is going slow, I dread to think what would happen then. Although maybe that would be the push they need to pick up the pace. Come on Marble Syrup, we are still here because we are rooting for you to come back in full glory! There have to be many instances of sweet moments and comedic gold that you have yet to show us!

So I pledged a $5 membership like no more than, a few minutes ago (no joke) lol. I'm still new here but I've done multiple playthroughs of your games and I love all of them. I would say, don't sweat it. We're just happy to know you guys are working hard to bring us the content you put your heart and soul into each and every day. <3

If the issue is artists, find new artists. Shadman seems to have a variety of artists in his circle, might be able to find someone there :^) A joke, of course, but only partially. If there's an issue with the artist, it is obviously imperative that a new one is found. If the issue is writing, get high (on life, of course, nothing illegal here) and spitball for 24 hours, then pass out, then wake up and sparse through the ramblings for anything valuable. (Another joke, but again only partial. Spitball sessions are useful for finding good ideas.) Or do like what PREQUEL or Making A Cat Cry does and set something up to take suggestions from the readers/players (you could even make it part of a Patreon tier, specifically the $25 tier since it even states in the tier that it's not all that much better than the lesser tiers and could use some extra benefits). If any fan comes up with a good idea or whatever, offer to toss their (user)name in the credits or whatever the hell, SOMETHING. If the issue is literally anything else, I can't even think of what the issue would be. You have 1.4k patrons, for a minimum of 1.4k a month, and guaranteed more (much more, going by the voter turnout of the $10/$5 patron polls). You are indeed getting paid for active updates. Hell, if I planned on continuously donating (I don't, one time deal for me, particularly after seeing the disgruntled yet loyal patrons complaining around here), I'd request (or demand, under threat of removal of patronage) weekly (minimum, preferably more frequent) updates. The updates wouldn't even need to be in depth, or about anything "interesting," like you said above. Example: "BigB worked 8 hours on Bron's Quest artwork and 3 hours on Little Apple artwork. [The other guy, I forget] worked 6 hours on Bron's Quest writing..." et cetera. Obviously that's not exactly what it would be like (I'm not even sure BigB is an artist, is he just a writer or something? Idk, doesn't matter), but something simple and REGULAR like that would really, REALLY boost morale. It seems to be the absolute lack of regular updates that's really hampering people, less than the slow progress (you're a small publisher, we get it, things won't be churned out lightspeed like the next Call of Duty game). Assuming all listed above are actual issues that are present, then it's either time to buckle down and overhaul your business practices, or just shut down and stop taking money from people in exchange for nothing. Oh well. At this point I feel like I'm rambling about nothing, and potentially about something of which I have no idea. TL;DR At least do weekly short updates about progress, if nothing else.

Guys? We deserve more than a paragraph after two months of silence and, obviously, no updates at all. BQ has been in development for two years, now, I think. This isn’t a case of “it's done when it’s done, and that’s all we’ll say about it” like you’re a AAA developer. They can kinda get away with that because generally they don’t get our money before they ship. You all, on the other hand, take our money monthly and give absolutely nothing in return, lately. This is not sustainable, and a paragraph like the one you wrote above after months of not saying anything at all is insulting. You guys need to shit, or get off the toilet.
