In six months, a timespan in which many serious developers (many of them featured on this site as well) manage to build a playable and almost complete game from scratch, all they've been able to do is add a couple of idiotic, "pseudo-meta" dialogues, change some hair colour and add a couple of pointless scenes and an unbearable number of bugs (which adds to the already unbearable number of bugs the game has got from the first alpha and no one even tried to correct).

I cannot say that I am upset even in the slightest. A refund was offered, I suppose its up to those individuals that are upset to take full advantage of it if they were bothered that much.

The first few comments made me feel like everybody's mad. But scrolling down helped it a little. So I want to share my own opinion. Marble Syrup here is obviously not an expert game developer, as we can see from many things, including random releases, common, fatal bugs in public releases, unreliable schedule and lack of communication. They are not our less lucky Andrew Gowers or anything like that. We know that, and should expect things to go wrong from time to time. Most developers wouldn't even have started offering refunds after this kind of mistake, so instead of screaming at their faces, you should feel relieved they do their best to fix their mistakes. And this is clearly not the only source of income for game developers, they work on the game when they have time. Sometimes you have more or less time than expected. I would even dare to say this was good mistake, it reminds the patrons that they are not dealing with professionals

Well someones hard work is something to look at as good,but it doesn't excuse laziness. Setbacks should be used to describe things that are out of your control, not for when you kind of got lazy and wanted to do other things. I'm not saying you shouldn't be lazy and enjoy yourself instead of working on the game, do whatever the fuck you want, I do the same thing. But when you have a big following your feeling of responsibility and giving your fans what you promise should grow alittle I would think.

I want any one of the irrationally angry and furious people in the comments to try and make even a frame in Bron’s Quest or to figure out how to make it work on every system, or even to come up with the unexpected wit and humor of the story. Though it may be made to entertain your willy, it is still creative content done by a very very small group of people. Setbacks are not only normal for the creation of artwork, or rather, a functioning game, but they should be expected. Up until this point Marble Syrup has put out amazing content time after time for a very cheap price. Some of this content is even available on free sites like Newgrounds. I myself admire the repeated efforts of all the people who helped put together past projects as well as the current ones. I think regardless of whether you are a fan or a critic of the content, both most agree that it takes time to make, and setbacks are a necessary part of creative development. Love you all at MS, keep it up :)

I paid in late May, but I have no intention of asking for a refund. I got to enjoy the great content you put out so far, and I am not complaining. I am sorry you have to deal with a lot of crap now, but I hope that you all get back on track and continue to make awesome content. :)

Hey guys, I get that shit happens, it's called "Life" after all. You do have the option to go out and live it every once in a while, and sometimes it throws unexpected bumps in the road. All I ask is that we get the occasional update and you keep making quality content, it'll take as long as it takes.

We don't really know when we'll hit a final build because we haven't really decided when we'll pull the brakes on Episode 1. The script has grown quite a bit beyond the original scope and we'll probably add something more yet. We might even end up not making it episodic but just adding to the game (like many other adult game patreon's).

Bahaha, to those crying, you can always just cancel your "subscription" to their patreon. Instead of crying about it. They are not obligated to do anything. now word of them being gone is always good, but damn some people (and ALL of us have done it) just *poof* once in awhile. And dont try saying you havent i wont believe you nor should anyone else. So they took a break that went a bit longer than they expected. So what. They offered a refund even, so at this point there is literally no reason to be mad. Get over it!

Why is everyone commenting here so UPSET?! These fine folks at Marble Syrup has warned and suggested that you lower your pledge amounts if you feel obligated to do so. I don't see how some delays warrants all this hate. I appreciate the good times that MarbleS has given me. Great things come with time. At least they are even updating us at ALL. Thank you MarbleS for what ya do. Please take these angry comments into some consideration. There's always a better way to get feedback, however, I guess this is whatcha get.

I'm keeping my $1 because I still want to keep tabs on this train wreck. But really guys I hate to say it. This BQ project has made me lose all respect and faith in the Marble Syrup brand. On what planet is it acceptable to tell your client to expect an update in the next couple days (2 days), to then totally vanish for the better half of a month. But not only that, actually show up again and say "sorry I don't have anything to show you yet, I don't really have an excuse maybe I was lazy" What's worse though is not only is that totally unprofessional and unacceptable, it's not even the first time you've had to shovel this garbage towards us. We're tired of hearing you say sorry. We're tired of you vanishing for long periods of time for no reason. We're tired of you constantly making promises that you can't live up to over and over and over again. It's made you like incompetent and unreliable. It's that the standard we should be expecting from Marble Syrup now? Please, have more respect for us. Have more respect for yourself and have more respect for the name you've created. Because right now it looks like you don't really give a toss what happens.

I'm not a patron so it's not like I feel ripped off or anything remotely like that, but I do want to point out that you guys really shouldn't just up and leave for a month without proper communication. It comes across as extremely unprofessional - amateurish - and certainly can't give current or prospective patrons a good vibe.

I don't even give a shit about the vacation. if people arent expecting anything then no biggie, but people are lobbing money at you not only expecting monthly updates but actual info if shit gets delayed. at this point you guys are as bad as the weird ass artist who just up and vanished on you.
