While it'd be a BUNCH of more coding work I readily acknowledge, having a "silly toggle" or "serious toggle" would be good. There comes a certain point in hentai when everyone is following the rules but being so flippant about it that you ask yourself, "hey, MC-kun, why even bother? You know you're gonna fuck every one of 'em. Just rip out the middle pages and get to it."

I like how Bron't ability to break fourth wall, and his lack of seriousness, together remind me of Deadpool, who is probably the best comic book character there is. However, some of his jokes just make me feel like "How can he live with himself?"

I think it's fine if they are wacky but I would prefer proper English and for characters not to acknowledge they are in a game.

i like the game so far but i kinda miss the fact where ur choices actually makes a difference in the story instead of just ending up dying if u choose the wrong option and it makes me sad that it only feels like there will be one ending to the story where u probally get to choose to take erins virginity and kill the guy she's looking for or let him live and maybe suggest a threesome for saving him or something

while not too much of a fan of it the rape thing is a kink for alot of people. if anything I guess he could implement a rape cheat aswell.

I'd like if it had serious moments, but the overall tone of the game is great when it's quirky like this. I just think I'd enjoy some serious parts and plot developments to keep me invested for the long run. Maybe a good ultimate goal that's introduced. Although I feel like that's coming with the (Quintos?) monk guy that Erin likes.

As others have pointed out, there are two design decisions here (in contrast to Re:Maid) which both serve to make you feel less involved and not care about the main characters a lot: 1. The meta talk, 2. The cavalier attitude towards rape. So, should either of these two be toned down? Personally, I would keep the meta stuff and jokes in (which are kind of the signature of this game) and look more at Bron's attitude towards women which should be changed a bit. Okay, he can be a macho, but please not a rapist. When I activated the sister cheat and the White Girl says that Bron always used to rape her while growing up, I was really turned off. So, okay, let him be a macho, but ultimately, the girls should be okay with it (the Princess volunteered to have sex, right? that's fine with me). I don't know what you have planned for the upcoming Evil-Anne sex scene, but if you make it forced sex, some people (like me) will be turned off by it, and additionally I think that such careless behavior will make Bron very cartoonish and further detach the player from the character. Not good.

My vote of "a little serious but still quirky" is just for Erin to continue being the straight man and Bron be the walking d*#k with legs. Quirky is great but a little less meta. Ummm, keep most of the jokes in game or something is what I mean. In fact keeping most of the meta humor in the world map area would probably be best cause that is a separate place from the story all be it still part of the game. Like a proverbial God in the clouds looking down on the world going, "You guys know you could just walk around the bush right?" Yet in game they need to get a special skill for a p@kemon. It is a good ooc opportunity. Sorry for the rambling. Keep up the great work.

Maybe a "somewhat serious" main game with a cheat for a "string of meta jokes and wonkiness that happen to contain aspects of game" option.

That's not to say I'm opposed to some lighthearted quests, or even some on the nose acknowledgements that we're playing a game, but I want to come away actually LIKING Erin and Bron as characters. As they are right now, they have no dimension other than "Hah, we're characters in a game, funny, huh?"

I personally found myself skipping through a lot of dialogue simply because the "quirky" and "meta" nature of it means that it really doesn't matter, and it's just filling space between scenes. It's not challenging me as a player, or endearing me to the characters. It's totally opposite of your previous games in that sense.

Perhaps a special "karma" ending where the other characters get payback for Bron's actions could come into play...

In response to Andrew's comments. Though not a rapist in real life i do however like games where the MC is supposed to be a right bastard and for the game to offer choices and situations to accurately depict those possible outcomes. These are works of fantasy and creative license should have no limitations. But i do understand that this kind of content could put off some players. Perhaps a hardcore version could be made available for those who appreciate the grittier content?

I'd say that my main issue with it is the cavalier attitude towards rape and coerced sex? I'd feel just a bit better if there was more of a realistic response to how shitty of a person Bron is, or just a little more willingness on the part of those involved, ya? Ya.

A "no jokes" cheat would probably mean the game is over in 5 minutes ;)
