TitanCraft + CRUX Elemental

Our CRUX Elemental campaign is rolling along, and we wanted to update you all to the particulars of the contest we're running with TitanCraft.

In addition, with their generous permission we've added the first four characters we rolled (pictured above) to the reward folders ($5+). Since these aren't our designs, they're exempt from our seller's license at the $15 tier, but feel free to print/enjoy them yourselves. Like most TitanCraft models, these will need supports. But anyway, on to the contest...

The rules are pretty simple:

• Roll a character using our free Quick Start rules.
• Make a miniature of that character on TitanCraft!
• Share a link to your design here in the "community" section (or to the CRUX thread on our Discord) along with a stat-line and a short (one or two sentence) backstory. 

The contest will run through February 2023 and we'll pick the winners shortly after funding comes through (sometime mid-March). To keep things reasonable, let's limit three entries per person. We'll select three winners based on the following categories:

• Best Character Design
• Best Backstory
• Best Custom Ancestry

Following your TitanCraft links, we'll purchase the selected entries and the winners will receive a printed and painted copy of their miniature (unless they prefer to paint their own) around the time the Kickstarter fulfils.

That third category is for those who want to mix-and-match components to create a new playable ancestry for their character. We'll be judging based on aesthetics, story, and how well the playable ancestry fits with the theme of the game (which is, to be fair, a pretty wide field). We'll also share all the entries we like in a little bonus PDF that will be free to the community, with full attribution to the creators. If you're going to design your own ancestry, be sure and provide the rules with your stat line. Some suggestions:

• Keep them close to human size and shape. (A little bigger/smaller is cool.)
• Keep the stat line from going too wild. No modifiers greater than +1/-1.
• Make a cool ancestral trait! Variety is the spice of life(forms), after all.

I'm currently working on a free community driven PDF supplement where we'll collect NPCs and new material made for the entries, and we'll make that sharable/update it via Discord throughout the month.
