Storefront Miniatures Format

Hey, friends.

One of the projects we're working on at the moment is a revamp of our storefront. We have a huge backlog of miniatures and terrain that we're working on getting posted for sale, and part of this overhaul will include a store discount for all active Patreon supporters. We're hoping to get that all underway soon, but I thought I'd get your impressions on something before we start the uploads.

Miniatures in sets are sometimes the most efficient way to structure sales, but there are certain freedoms that come from selling digital items as we do. What would you think of the models being sold individually, so that you can pick and choose which you like? Do you prefer to have them come in bundles? Do you like both options? (Keeping in mind that too many places for the same pieces might confuse people browsing, even if links to those sets are present in the description?) Let us know what you think.

As a buyer, I like the freedom of choosing individual models. At the same time if there is a pack on sale with a price that excites me, I usually buy it. An example might be, a pack of 10 minis, the same price as buying the same 10 individually but includes 1 or 2 "free" minis as a bonus. Now, I may never have bought all 10 individually because there are inevitably 3 or 4 out of any given 10 I don't like enough to buy. However, because they were with a set that didn't have a stupid markup (just for being in a set) and I did like the bonus minis.. I would buy it. To the seller, an avenue for selling 3 or 4 minis that may not have otherwise been sold, I imagine that must be attractive.

I find that, with my store, it's the packs that usually sell better than big stacks of similar miniatures. Big batches of individual minis do sometimes sell, and sometimes people seem to just want a single mini in a set, but I think packs tend to have better value, so they sell easier. I run a hybrid of both, and it seems to work alright :)

I'd mostly go with sets, but with the individual minis available. Most commonly it's shown as a bundle deal where if you want more than a couple of the set you'd get the bundle, but if you really only want the one model then you buy that individual one

I'd go with sets that include everything and only doing individual listings for really big and involved pieces that someone might not want to buy the entire set to get.

Sets make more sense to me. Plus I very rarely sell a single mini. If a set is available like the free folk, little alien dudes or the goblin warband is available people have picked that up.
