Wallhalla Series 2 preview: Desert City

Hey, friends.

We’re getting closer and closer to fulfilling the Wallhalla 2 campaign for Kickstarter backers and, as such, we’re going to have previews coming in from time to time.

Here’s “Desert City,” one of the many Wallhalla sets that will be going out to patrons who get terrain sets ($5 levels and higher) over the next few months.

This one is currently getting some play time in our weekly Coils of Chaos game as a little slice of the city of Carth. There’s a special dungeon that goes underneath all of this built from another theme, and we’ll have more to show for that soon. But for now we’ve got the street level, complete with the “Inn of the Rough Beast,” where our player characters will soon be meeting all sorts of unsavory types and discussing business over drinks and, presumably, fried bug-headed lizards on sticks or something.

Thanks for the reply and info Jim and IGG! Sweet, sounds like even a noob like me can pull it off!

Ah, yeah, what Jim said! We'll have a "read me" document released with the new sets, but really just stock FDM settings are all you need, and they come centered and oriented for printing.

These really are great! I just printed my first CyberCity section from the first series without any adjustments, centered on plate, .2 line height, at 50mm/s, and no supports on my Ender 3v2 with direct drive. Looks great! Took about 5hrs. The IGG website said it was optimized for home FDM without supports and it's true! I just queued up my printer for the section before I go to bed. http://www.illgottengames.net/products/wallhallacybercity

These look so good painted up. I don't have any minis on display but really looking forward to doing a Wallhalla thing. Is there anything I can read that will help with printing them, like placement on the plate and supports? I'm still getting the hang of my Ender3.

Thanks, Jim!
