Early & Ad Free: Sailing Away From Our Problems Like 🤪...Sailing Vessel Delos Ep. 453
Added 2024-04-12 12:05:29 +0000 UTCHappy Friday Friends! Our latest and greatest adventures (and misadventures) are ready for your viewing pleasure! This week's episode finds us right where we left off last week, in the middle of a crowded and rolly slighly poo colored anchorage in Hiva Oa, only this time, we have a surprise addition to the mix that really took things to the next level. Once again we hit our limit (this has been happening a lot for us lately in the Marqueasas Islands 😂 ), and luckily the weather was in our favor to get outta dodge! Cruising can definitely be tough, but that's one thing that's pretty awesome about being able to take your home wherever you want...if you don't like your backyard for the day, move on to the next one...and mannnnn did we hit the jackpot with our next stop!
In other news, we are currently underway towards the Society Islands again, which feels so crazy! It's been nearly a year for us in French Polynesia, and it really has been such a journey...soon we will start prepping Delos to be hauled out, and the real work of making our Delos 2.0 dreams a reality will begin....can't believe it! But anyway, more on that to come soon!

2024-04-18 17:38:09 +0000 UTCYes exactly, that is an excellent question. In order for the sacrificial zinc to do it's job it must be connected to the hull, which in turn should cause a dissimilar metal problem.... I'm sure someone out there has the answer! Lot's to learn :)

They work great although in the saltwater environment and sun we find they last only about 2 years. We're on our 2nd set, but we like them enough that we just buy new ones.... If I were to buy them again they do offer a high back option, and if you have space for that it gives you a little more support on your neck and head.
