[Hereafter] CCVI: The Battle of Rock Island
Added 2025-08-09 22:01:38 +0000 UTCLike with last chapter, I was disappointed with how little I could focus on individual battles and give them the proper weight they needed, but things being what they were, it was unavoidable.
I tried to do justice to everyone here even so, but I'm not incredibly confident in how well I captured Fionn's personality in particular, and Diarmuid wound up fairly mute, all things considered. Talking in battle is a sin only great lords get to commit, because they like to hear the sound of their own voices too much.
Gonna be real honest, I also expected a few Servants in here to make it longer than they did when I introduced them, but the end of the road came faster than anyone anticipated.
Pretty juicy Material Companion to this chapter, too. Enjoy.

It's interesting how Dinah Cassandra has a sort of actual debuff applied to those who disregard her prophecies, the fight was pretty evenly matched but ended up being a Complete one-sided victory as soon as Fionn dismissed her warning. Also loved how Taylor gaslit the Celts

I'm not sure I've seen such a high-powered fight outside of "Fate/Apocrypha," but you did it *splendidly.* Thank you once again for some *remarkable* entertainment.
