We're finally starting to get some payoff for all of the hints I've been dropping for this Singularity. Some more of it is coming next chapter. There's still some things that haven't been revealed, of course, but we're in Act 2 of this Singularity, so this is where I take a lot of the masks off of everything I was hiding earlier. It's gonna be a wild ride.
EDIT: I got West and Wilkins mixed up in my head and I've been meaning to correct it, just never got around to it. Correcting it now.

Nice to see Piggot being *reasonable,* since she has arguably the most experience with Taylor (and therefore, reason to be *wary* of her) of those present. Tagg's being equally reasonable is a *surprise,* but a welcome one. The MVP here, however, *has* to be Olga Marie. Faced with a political attack, she responds with all the grace and skill expected of an aristocratic magus, heir to a Lordship of the Clock Tower, and shuts it down with no nonsense tolerated - along with a not-so-veiled threat to CUT THAT OUT, *NOW.* Whatever her flaws and frailties, real or perceived, In this moment, she is *every inch* the Director she thinks she *can't* be, and I *applaud* her for it. Thank you, so much, for not just another *very* entertaining chapter, but giving one of my favourite characters the dignity she *deserves.*
