[Hereafter] Chapter CLXXXIII: Friends, New and Old
Added 2025-02-01 22:22:02 +0000 UTCThere's a lot the team has still to learn. Where did the Singularity truly first diverge? What's happened as a result of that? How did Coil come to be the de facto leader of the entire eastern United States? Who took the Grail and where?
There's so much still up in the air, and I can't wait to show you all the answers. Next chapter, we meet some new and old faces, and then the chapter after that is an interlude, a very important interlude.
For now, though, this one is a little slower, a little more methodical, and there's not quite so much excitement going on. That doesn't mean that there aren't some important things happening, so I wonder which clues you'll all pick up on?

I just had a thought - Medb being taken out by Cheese makes a whole lot more sense when ‘a piece’ likely originally meant something like ‘a wheel’. And even if it WAS a slice, Given how hard the Rhind would be, it would be more like throwing a stone. I doubt they would’ve had Soft Cheeses

OldTaylor has to make peace with all her mistakes and set the younger her up to follow in her foot steps. That also follows the recipe from the pervious Singularities, have the proper human history fight against the alternate one.

2025-02-02 17:48:10 +0000 UTCI feel like this singularity is going to be the one where we learn what happened during Taylor’s ‘failed’ summoning. My guess is something akin to becoming a Psuedo/Demi Servant for Herself. She’s not actually using QA to control bugs; and the various other Cape Powers in this Singularity are Piggybacking on that. (Since it removes the Quantum BS issue that would result from having Shards watching through their partners)

By which I mean is, all it will take is one glance at a drugged up Dinah or Lisa in his metaphorical basement (which is where I assume they are) before he get drowned in bees.

2025-02-01 23:30:29 +0000 UTCCoil probably acquired future knowledge somehow, maybe through the grail, maybe through a Servant, and actively chose not to have the Undersiders rescue Taylor before ultimately disbanding them as not worth the effort compared to Servants. Lisa's probably in a basement somewhere. Not really sure why Medb is still a thing unless Goetia took the Grail from her and abrubtly changed plans on the america singularity after failing to kill Taylor with a bomb in the beginning.
