February 20th, 2018: Translation Report

Finally finished the two sex scenes, and with that I've wrapped up the second dungeon!

Now, I got an announcement to make. Nothing major but this will probably be my last translation report for the rest of February. For on the morning of the 22nd, Rance X will be released on online stores. As an eroge fan, the release of Rance X is so major for so many reasons. Purely as a fan, I've been waiting for the climax of the Rance series since I played Kichikuou Rance around ten or so years ago. As a believer in the potential of the eroge medium, I want to see how one handles closing out the longest running eroge franchise of 29 years. Already Rance X is hyped up ironically and unironically as the eroge of the year before it is even out. If I had an office job, I would've planned to take a week off so I can get like ten days off just to play it because I know I would get zero work done anyway. In fact, lately it already is hard to get anything done because I want to hype and speculate about Rance X so much.

I wanted to leave you guys with something for the rest of the month during my absence but unfortunately I couldn't make it in time. However coincidentally around the same time as Rance X's release, there is a new English translated eroge coming out on Steam on the 23rd called Fallen ~Makina and the City of Ruins~. I got a good strong first impression from their store page, so it should be a whole lot better than some random machine translated hack job. With that said, I'll be back in March, hopefully satisfied and happy with how the Rance series ended!
