[Hereafter] Chapter CVI: Thalassocide
Added 2023-06-10 14:13:36 +0000 UTCI originally thought I was going to get a little farther than I did, but things stretched out a little, and I found that was an excellent place to end the chapter. The editor thought so, too.
Plus, there were a few small moments here in the chapter that I really liked, even if they really were quite small. I wouldn't want to give those up just so I could move things along with a little more speed.
As the fight ramps up, the Singularity winds down. Three, maybe four chapters of Okeanos left. As incredible as it seems, we really are coming close to the end.

2023-06-12 06:45:04 +0000 UTCOne of those reasons is that most of the other Servant classes have some form of Magic Resistance. Makes it hard to fight anyone when almost everyone is immune to your main method of attack, right? In HGW5, Emiya's MR was C, but Saber had A, and Rider and Lancer had B, while Herk's NP *functionally* gave him MR B. The only person she could touch in Fate and UBW was the one who was under her thumb, Assassin. Medea is the only Caster in the list of Top Five Casters ever who isn't a Grand candidate. Unfortunately, the reason she doesn't qualify is because she's lacking the one trait that might actually have let her outmaneuver the rest of HGW5: high ranking Clairvoyance.
