A composite skill. It incorporates aspects of both Charisma and Innocent Monster, inducing fear or awe based upon one’s relationship to the owner of the skill. In the case where a person is an ally or friend, Captain Morgan will appear more heroic, and his gallant attributes will be further emphasized, as is befitting of the man who was celebrated by the English during his lifetime.
However, in the case where the person is an enemy or opponent, he will appear as the fearsome monster who plundered ships and cities alike, the great pirate Captain Morgan.
This fierce disposition reflects the fact that the perception of Henry Morgan varied wildly between the English and the Spanish. Whereas one viewed him as a champion of the country and her interests in the Caribbean, the other viewed him as a greedy, malicious pirate with a taste for torture and the suffering of his victims. This latter perception was only bolstered by a book of memoirs posted by a previous subordinate of Morgan’s who described Morgan as a sadist who took great pleasure in inflicting pain on those who crossed him.
That Captain Morgan sued for libel against those claims and won has not stopped history from viewing him through the lens of the vicious pirate.
