[Hereafter] Chapter XCIX: High Seas Chase

I've partly done it to myself, but there's a huge cast in Okeanos. So many moving parts. Keeping track of them all is a chore and a half, and I have no idea how GRRM manages it with his own cast of characters.

Things are moving forward now, and we're about to hit the final third or so of Okeanos. I think this is a pretty happy middle ground between Septem's huge size and Orleans's somewhat shorter size. It feels incredible to say so, but it's only been about four months since Okeanos started, real time, and I think we're much further along in the plot than we were around the same time for Septem.

For now, well, here's some action and some plot to enjoy. The very end there felt a lot like something straight out of canon Fate, and I loved writing it. The editing team really liked it, too.

EDIT: Moving down.

Taylor is really off her game lately isn’t she.

I had fallen behind in the last two chapters, so reading the previous on and then this all in one go was very satisfying! Especially with this sick ending, plus the various different twists! I love concise writing!

I just have one question, Taylor is pissed, are we going to see some special worm level brutality towards Hector and Blackbeard with her amazingly creative mind. I mean she might just backslide to a harsher mentality just because of how pissed off she is. Even though it might cause some fear from her cute kouhais

It is actually quite surprising how intricate and fast paced Okeanos was. I know Taylor in an earlier chapter stated how much she had to abbreviate in the France singularity due to their movement between places. Though given how large some of the future singularities are, especially Babylonia, I do have to wonder how transport will be arranged and time will be passed. Will Rika take it upon herself to bring manga in to the singularities, or have it shifted in as an aid package? Ritsuka is seeming a little...well, flat. He doesn't appear yet to have much of a personality beyond the typical protag we see in the FGO anime. Not criticizing you, but compared to Taylor's Brutal Pragmatism and desire to reform, Rika's obsessive descent into po-culture spouting weeb...to me, Ritsuka doesn't have much of a pull. Not much of something that has me go "Oooooh shit, here he goes." I mean, we see he is more studious and serious than Rika, given he had to help tutor his sister in English. This also raises the query of packing for a shift. Has...anyone actually taught Ritsuka and Rika how to prepare for a shift, in terms of packing stuff? Admittedly I'm not sure but surely backpacks are a viable addition, yeah?
