[Hereafter] Chapter XCVII: Twice the Trouble
Added 2023-04-16 03:19:32 +0000 UTCI guess this is the sort of thing having such a large cast does: when you think a chapter is going to be shorter, they all chime in and make it balloon. Not by overmuch, in this case, just about 600 words or so, but 6K is very rapidly becoming the standard for this story. Geez.
I actually had to go back to my character spreadsheet at a couple of points to make sure I wasn't forgetting anyone. Turns out, I'd actually forgotten Siegfried. Sumanai, my poor friend. It wasn't intentional.
That ending, though. That hits. And boy, will it keep hitting as we go forward.
