[Hereafter] Chapter LXV: Rome Eternal
Added 2022-08-15 14:24:42 +0000 UTCWhew. This fight scene was a pain in the ass. Let me tell you, ironically, the fight scene fought me more than they characters fought each other. Part of that was the super enclosed space, which limited who could go where and how quickly, and part of that was Romulus having a really weird gimmick.
Maybe I really should have watched some videos of Hashirama fighting.
Whatever the case, this wound up going on for quite a bit longer than I originally thought it was going to, so have 6.4k's worth of a "final" battle. With where we are now? Three, maybe four chapters left of Septem. Four is me being generous, though. We don't have that much left to go through for the plot.
EDIT: Moving down.

Took a break for a bit, finally coming back to this to catch up. That ending had me in tears, well done.

2022-08-15 15:48:21 +0000 UTCI'd say if anything it makes them more...real. They become the embodiment of something. For example...let's say you draw a square. That could be any servant. But if you then make it a cube, it becomes more real. More solid and defined. Enhanced. It rises above what it once was to something more.

2022-08-15 15:24:02 +0000 UTCThat’s certainly cool. ‘ Not in the literal sense, because if he was immune to damage then he would have just stood there and let everything bounce off of him, but it was becoming increasingly obvious to me just how much of an advantage it was for a Servant to be summoned into a time and place where their legend was the strongest. His stats weren’t the highest ever, but it was almost like he was more there, more real, and because of that, he could keep up with a whirlwind like Aífe who should have been outpacing him.’ So a Servant boosted by their cultural sphere has deceptive stats, huh?
