The Septem Singularity's endgame gets put in motion. There should still be another four or five chapters left in Septem, but it's finally in sight.

That's a bit odd. Sounds like Mash may have been a different project suborned in to the Chaldea project. I mean, if they could summon and bind heroic spirits but keep the host in control of the powers, they would have a terrifying tool at their disposal. Especially if they could summon a Magus from the age of the gods.

Don't ask me where the source comes from, but I'm fairly sure that Mash was grown naturally, so she is, in fact, 17 years old. Does the timeline work out neatly? Not really. But Nasu has always been a bit...loose about the issue of timelines matching perfectly.

Well we won't even know if she was born and grew up naturally or accelerated. As to Romani and who he really is...as much as he might love Mash as a daughter, there's bound to be a societal disconnect between a man from nearly XXXX years ago and Mash. Given what he would have been like back then, it's more likely he'd be rather hands off in regards to raising a daughter. Raising a fighter/ warrior however...

Mash wasn't entirely raised by Romani, but he had a significant hand in her development. Aside from that, and the fact that she's probably gone through most of the books in Chaldea's library, we know surprisingly little about Mash's life growing up. If Mash *does* know anything about the birds and the bees, I imagine it's all technical. Cut and dry. Like something out of a medical textbook. On the other hand, it's entirely possible that Romani curated her access to anything like that to "protect her (remaining) innocence."

Caractacus

This does raise a question. Exactly how much experience does Mash/ Mashu have with interpersonal relations, be they of a platonic or romantic version? I only ask because she is effectively a tube-grown homonculus with no exposure to normal people. The entirety of Team A, Romani, Director...none of whom are normal people. Would Mash have gotten most of her knowledge from books? I can't see Romani or Olga being fonts of wisdom when it comes to interacting with other people. I mean, Illya at least had her formative years with Irisviel and Kiritsugu but Mash...had nobody. That does bring up a rather amusing omake wherein Taylor has to explain the birds and the bees to Mash.
