[Hereafter] Interlude QB: Morituri te Salutant

Boudica was a bit hard to write for. I knew what fight had to take place in this chapter, but, well...

Squad battles are hard. Trying to keep track of where everyone is and what they're doing at any given moment is hard. Trying to write two squads facing off, even when one of them is only a team of two, is hard.

Ugh. I did my best, I even cheated a little. And I know how I ended this chapter isn't super satisfying, but I wanted to leave it that way.

EDIT: Down all the way.

It's something that gets covered in FGO's canon Septem Singularity. I won't spoil it if you've never been through it, but no, Caesar wasn't the one behind everything. Caesar himself has reasons why he'd doing this stuff, but some people, like Tiberius perhaps, are just "company" men through and through.

Caractacus

Once more with a great fight! I also like the way Spartacus talks very much. Is that from the source material or something you came up with? It can't be easy to think up some of the phrases he uses and still have them be germane to the situation at hand. It seems that the whole unified empire is something of Caesar's making, or are Cassius' words more a product of a loyal servant? I ask because on the previous chapter there seems to be an extra "him" behind everything (whose secrets Caesar really doesn't mind divulging) but if, as he said before, the existence of the Empire itself is of no matter to the puppet master, then this whole thing might just be Caesar's brainchild too (and completely separate from the main thrust of the enemy's plot, which would make it a very good diversion).
