[Hereafter] Chapter X: Monolith
Added 2021-05-23 22:21:53 +0000 UTCWe get some more hints about Taylor and Olga's relationship.
But this is some cooldown from the last main chapter and a resolution to Singularity F.
This also means I just wrote a novel's worth in about a month and a half. 50k+ words. Holy shit.
There's going to be some fluff and character stuff and setup, but by chapter 12, Orleans will start, and we'll be on our way to another novel's worth of words.

I never replied to this? I never replied to this. Fuuu... Generally speaking, in canon, there's no indication of any breaks between Fuyuki, Orleans, and Septem. You just bumrush through them one after the other. There's implication that the rest of the Singularities are separated by their IRL timeframes, though. Even the Lostbelts keep to this, somewhat, with there being a timelapse of three months between Anastasia and Gotterdammerung, I think it was, as a result of the Zero Sail. In Hereafter, I'm not entirely sure. I know that we won't be speedrunning them, just for the sake of giving both the characters and the audience time to breathe. It's entirely possible that, depending on how long Orleans stretches out and what Da Vinci can get in terms of supplies, the Director could be back in time for Septem. Having said that, I think I'm a little partial to waiting for Okeanos or even London. We'll see.

2021-05-29 21:20:04 +0000 UTCHmm, a thought: What kind of timeframe are we looking at, between Singularities? More specifically, how long do you think it will take, in-universe, from this point until the end of Septem? Because there's a certain appeal in being able to get the Director back up and running around again, in time to rub Flauros' utter failure in his face before Altera finishes gutting him.
