The ending wasn't really where I wanted it to be, in terms of how far into the fight I wanted to be by the time this chapter was over, but that cliffhanger was simply too delicious to not use, so that's what decided things, in the end.

Things went in a bit of an unexpected direction even for me. Some characters' fates were already decided, but as for the rest, there are surprises in store for who lives and who doesn't. Some of them are still up in the air.

Granted, he's NOT going to be enough to kill Scion by himself, but he had E CRIPPLED; but killing Alex in front of him? That's going to trigger the mother of all furies I suspect....
