Interlude 10.j: Pater Potestas

A little later than I wanted it. Danny wasn't super cooperative, but he pulled through in the end.

It took a little thought to figure out which Heroic Spirit Danny should pair with, and in the end, it came down to Sigurd, Odysseus, and Lancelot. The editors and I discussed it and decided, yeah, Odysseus works the best of the three, for what I was originally going for.

There's some fluff, here. Some no-stakes action. A little glimpse at how far along Danny and Taylor have come in repairing their relationship.

And also a moment of melancholy. Play the soft, slow piano rendition of "Married Life" from Up, specifically the one from when Carl's going through Ellie's Adventure Book near the end of the movie, while you're reading Danny's reminiscing, and then tell me you didn't at least tear up a little. I dare you.

Next up is Dwarf in the Flask, the last interlude of this arc, and then we'll be moving on to Arc 11, Pyrite.
