Like I said I would, I got through it fairly quickly.
Of course, I realized about three sentences in the second scene that if I tried to cover everything up through the Yule Ball, this thing would wind up a monster somewhere in the vicinity of twice as big as the largest Essence chapters, so I decided to chop it up into three shorts and come back to do the other two later. Part 2, when it happens, will be Daphne and Harry having dance lessons. Part 3 will be the Yule Ball itself.
For now, though, this is part 1 of Cunning and Ambition. And now that I've sufficiently exercised this idea (or exorcised, if you will), I can get back to Tantalos and Essence.
