Added 2020-04-23 07:01:04 +0000 UTCTagg gave me some trouble in this chapter, hence why it's so LATE, but have an extra long chapter to compensate. Not quite as long as last chapter, but hey, 6.2k is still plenty long for Essence, isn't it?
I won't pretend that a lot of people didn't see this coming, and Tagg's reasoning might not make total sense to everyone - don't worry, that's what the next chapter is for. It'll show some of where that rampant paranoia came from.

Ok wow talk about a fucking disaster. Tagg just alienated the one damn hero who has managed to kill a fucking endbriger and looks like she will be able to kill more. Tagg's days are numbered as everyone in the prt and government will want his head. Talyor has pretty much said to anyone who can put together clues that the prt in another life fucked her but she's trying to do better as everything that could go wrong went wrong in that life and yet here comes tag. His career is over and it's going to be interesting to see the fallout from this. The PR Alone is going to eat them alive as people are going to question why the hopebringer doesn't want to work with the government.

I mean in a very real sense, he's just completely and totally shattered everything Piggot and co. have been trying almost from the very beginning to work towards. I'm sure the list of people who will want Tagg's ass on a platter in front of them START with the President, and works it's way down from there. Even if Costa-Brown was hesitant about Taylor, she's now pretty much lost any way or method of having any decent method for keeping a lid on things
