Update 3-7-2020
Added 2020-03-07 18:51:59 +0000 UTCSo here's the whole sordid tale.
This last week, we got the windows replaced. That meant cleaning out the areas the window people were gonna be working in, which meant moving all of the heavy furniture close enough to get in the way out of the way, and then moving it back when they were done. I underestimated how much that was going to be and how much it was going to take out of me, in terms of time and energy.
That was Tuesday, Wednesday, and part of Thursday.
Unfortunately, in the process of moving the furniture, my desk broke. The part holding the drawers snapped clean off its moorings and nearly took the entire right side with it.
Ahhh... Well, it was an old desk, I guess, and not a particularly good one. I've been afraid it was going to fall apart for ages, so this was probably inevitable.
Of course, that meant I needed a new desk, so that meant going out and looking for one at the nearest office supplies store. At least, if I didn't want to wait a week or pay for expedited shipping.
So a nice enough desk was found, but the store only had one in stock and the packaging was damaged pretty severely (so was the desk). The store refused to open the box on-site to check it, but the promise was that it would be replaced, free of charge, if there was something wrong.
See above. Yes, the desk was damaged pretty badly, too.
But it was way too late in the evening and I was utterly wiped, so after confirming at home that yes, the desk was damaged, and calling the store to let them know, getting the replacement for the replacement was shelved until the next day. Now that the replacement is here, I have yet to put the thing together, because apparently it's going to take a few hours, according to the online reviews.
Hopefully, this new desk will last a while, because I don't want to fucking do this again.
The TL;DR is that not much of anything got done this week in terms of writing, so 9.3 is gonna be a late. I've delayed its release to the public by an extra week to compensate.
I'm sorry, guys. Things were just... You know? Ugh.
