Promise 7.10

This is much, much later than I wanted. That, in part, has to do with my FGO woes trying to get Bryn, which everyone on the Discord Server is very much familiar with, but it had more so to do with just how little sleep I got, last week. I was averaging 4 to 6 hours every day, and had absolutely no energy to be writing this chapter with.

Here it is, however, done, finished - and, officially, the Leviathan fight with it.

After this, 7.11 for the aftermath. Maybe, depending on if I can find a character or perspective befitting it, a 7.b interlude, and then Pendulum 0.5. After that, arc 8 will begin.

For now, enjoy 5400 words of conclusion. I hope you all enjoy it and that the wait was worth it.

I can understand that sentiment, definitely. If I'd done the crossover a different way, then it couldn't have worked out the way it did. Because of the method the Entities used to subvert Alaya, however, they have certainly made their "powers" a part of the Human Order that prevents them being eroded by the common sense of Man, but they've also put themselves under the classification systems used by the same. Ironically, Leviathan employing the image of a divine beast from Biblical lore is both the thing that made him capable of hurting Herakles at all as well as the thing that made him capable of being manipulated by Medusa. Rules Lawyering like that isn't to everyone's taste, I understand. These two series are difficult to crossover, owing to their wildly different themes and approaches to their settings. When the rules of one disadvantage the other, inevitably, at least a few people will be dissatisfied. I'm glad you enjoyed the rest of it, however.

Caractacus

SPOILER. I really enjoyed this chapter, seeing Herakles wrestle with Alexandria was a treat, and the ending was both incredible epic and also somewhat anticlimactic in a way that really showcased just how powerful some of the noble phantasms are. The only part I didn't really like was the use of the riding skill to control leviathan. I just can't imagine that working, the endbringers aren't beasts by any definition I would use. They're completely alien.
