Promise 7.1
Added 2019-05-24 14:54:59 +0000 UTCSo, I sat down to get to finishing ITQM I, and instead, I wound up writing about 2300 words (and finishing) Promise 7.1.
I have no idea how that happened.
Anyway. Since it's done, I saw no reason not to give it to you. ITQM is more of a sidestory than a proper chapter, to begin with. I'll finish it over the next couple of days and give it to you then.
On the chapter itself, I confess, I was actually a bit iffy about the ending, here. It felt a little too neat, but that conflict had no legitimate reason to continue and the direction of the conversation went there anyway, so...
In any case, here's a bit of a breather chapter. Things aren't exactly easy slice of life, but they're less tense than last chapter and Pendulum 0.0 and...arc 6 in general, really.

While I'm sure you'll get chapter and verse from the Ward-Loathing that Taylor's made a bad choice, I see her choice as a deliberate attempt try and learn from Khepri's mistakes, and try and avoid them. Or at least try and blunt them. Also, I don't think most people realize, she's giving them a chance to prove her first thoughts on them wrong, but she's not rolling over with her throat bared. She's HEALED; this means she's got options if they try and screw with her.
