Generally, I only post when I have something concrete to show, which is why I can go long stretches without saying anything, but if you think it'd be more engaging for me to let you know more about what's going on, I can try doing that, too.
Anyway. In the spirit of that, I'm letting everyone know I've finally gotten back to work on Essence in earnest. One of the things that has kept me away was that I wasn't entirely solid on how to write for Danny, nor how I could keep him from coming to a decision about the Wards before the meeting with Piggot even began. In keeping with how difficult arc 6 has been, this final interlude has been frustrating, too.
In the end, I decided to just go with it and tackle that bridge when I get there. We'll see exactly how it turns out when I come to that part, but for now, I'm just going to write until the difficult part becomes relevant.
What does that mean? This next chapter might not be ready for this weekend. Depending on when I pin down my editing team to talk about this stuff, it might take one last week. However! I'm going to finish Pendulum 0.0 shortly after this interlude, so it should be out within a day or two of the interlude. As always, you guys will all get it the moment it's finished.
As for QotA... I do want to give you guys stuff for it, if only for a litmus test. I'll have to see if I can cook something up for it.
