Codex Abramelin: Grimoire of the Ancient Magic. The Noble Phantasm of Nicolas Flamel, the book he is said to have possessed that held the secrets of all magecraft. It is also said to have been the origin of Flamel’s knowledge of magic.
Whether it was real or the invention of later rumors, it appears in this form as the Noble Phantasm of the alchemist, Nicolas Flamel.
Contained within are numerous magical formulae, from rituals to summon angels and demons, to methods of clairvoyance, to the means by which to bind magical beasts as familiars. It also possesses numerous Formulcraft rituals and Kabbalistic spells that exceed the knowledge of modern magi. A priceless tool that any family in the Mage’s Association would happily go into debt to possess.
Through the usage of this book, Nicolas Flamel can make use of nearly any modern magecraft, allowing him to bypass his normal limitations as a magus. In that sense, it acts much like a Thaumaturgical Crest possessed by a magus family, by giving him the means to wield the magecraft of previous generations and geniuses without painstakingly mastering them himself.
However, without a skill that allows for the caster to speed up the recitation of incantations, the major limiting factor on the utility of this Noble Phantasm is the time required to enact the spells it contains. Even with access to nearly limitless forms of magecraft, Flamel cannot escape its natural restrictions.
