Incidentally, those of you who are also following the discussions on the SV thread, this chapter is what I meant about Taylor's usage of the geis having negative effects. It's an exceedingly bad idea to lean on it like a crutch in place of real trust.

Whether or not Harry Potter is good literature, it IS an escapist fantasy with pretty clear good and evil - in other words, exactly the kind of thing Taylor would go for, with her school life being as crappy as it is.

The plot, setting and motivations are so full of holes you could fall through them, and Harry Potter is not really something someone who is big on Lit would approve of, let alone favour.
