FYI

When I create an audio that is 102 minutes long, that is the equivalent of doing five (5) 20 minute audios. I'm not even counting the layers. You could have already had  five audios posted this month instead of the one long one. And if I didn't add layers to that long audio, then I bet I could have whipped out six audios here and it is only the 9th of the month.

I promise the group  three to four audios a month.  but please do the math on the content I give you before you get upset that I am not "active enough" (for you). I can certainly give you all several short audios, it would save me TONS of time. And if I didn't write them myself (which I write almost all of my content) then you could have even more audios, but they would be ones done by several other artists as well ((yawn)) I am not a fan of re-runs.  So I could have given you all of those short audios and I'd already be done for the month.  That is the work I have put in so far this month on the 102 minute audio.

I am well aware that some of the most popular artists, those that are paid the most are doing eight, 12 to 15 minute audios a month and most of those are script-fills. I write my own original content almost always. I have less than ten script-fills out of 112 audios. If I would have done that instead of the one long one I just created then I would already be two months ahead on posting, just this month alone.  Am I doing this all wrong? Because I'll be honest, if I did voice-over content, I wouldn't be thrilled enough to continue doing this job. The biggest thrill for me is creating content for my listeners, mostly based on private messages I get. When a Patron messages me and tells me what turns him on, THAT  is what excites me and that is my motivation to create. And that is what I base almost all of my content on. And also it is based on what turns me on. Otherwise, just recording short voice-overs, is  'busy work'. I don't think I would be entertained enough to continue doing this.

Most of all,  if you are new here (like the guy who just complained, but he isn't the first to have done so hence my group post) then you have 112 audios to listen to while you wait.  I will change the tiers to promise "minutes" instead of number of audios, but we are only on the 9th of June, I still have the entire month left.  I haven't even decided all that I am going to do for the month.

I really wonder if any of you realize how hard it is to create these? I'm not complaining, this is just an FYI so you understand why it takes a while to create content. Think back to high school or college when you were asked to write an essay. How easy was that? When I create a 102 minute audio, that is about nine to ten written pages. Now think about the fact that I write about four essays every single month.  I have to come up with ideas, do research, write it, edit the writing so that it makes sense and then record it and then edit. Editing takes the longest of all.  It takes about an hour to edit 8 minutes of audio. I don't make much money $ doing this, so I still have to work a full time job.  I told myself two years ago that I was going to go all-in with the PH,  bc I thought it would matter : ( I'm not complaining, I love it. I am actually addicted to creating content for you guys, but when I get complaints like this, that don't make sense to me,  and I work as hard as I can, it just frustrates me! I'm taking a course now on time management, but at this point, I am not sure I can work any harder (maybe smarter, I'm figuring that out).

This is the first time in 2 1/2  years of the PH opening, that I have written a negative post to the group so I'm sorry for that. It's necessary, I think. At least it feels better for me on my end to vent. I've wanted to say this before.  I am beginning to understand why artists quit.   I'm also not the first artist to write a post like this, explaining why REAL content (not script-fills)  take so long to create. There is another popular artist I follow who does what I do and I have read her posts, much like mine. She was more professional/less emotional in explaing this than I am ( I just poured a glass of wine ; ) mmm!

I will be posting the feet portion of Dr. Nautica shortly, I am currently editing.
