Probably gonna nerd out in the comments for every episode. This is my favorite piece of fiction and I love getting to see people experience it. Dunno if you picked up on it, but with the haughty woman playing hard-to-get, there was a shot focusing on her hand showing it was scuffed up and worn to suggest she's working with her hands and not what she's trying so hard to present as. A nice little touch was when Violet's shirt was still soaked you could see where her prosthetic arms begin near her shoulders through it. As a side note, the song at the end, "Michishirube" is sung by Erika's voice actress. Later on it's worth finding a version with lyrics cause it's very thematic for a lot of the show overall.

2025-07-23 23:19:03 +0000 UTCThe piece Never Coming Back which we first hear here when Violet receives the brooch and Claudia (Hodgins) talks to Cattleya about the major, has to be my favorite piece of the show. The gentle harp and melancholic violin absolutely pierce my soul. We hear this piece in many times in the show and now whenever i hear it i just get instant goosebumps if not cry haha.

If you notice, at the end of the song, it ends with a question, but not an answer, (it feels like something is missing in that ending). It's mostly a way to give us to understand that there is no concrete answer to Violet's question regarding the meaning of love. It is something that we will see throughout the series and how something that seems so simple, ends up becoming a really complicated issue.
