That isn't the only reason why people dislike Mushoku Tensei. But I won't get into it. I don't really see the comparisons to Frieren. If an Isekai were to be recommended, Re:Zero would likely be the best option. Although Re:Zero works best if the viewer has knowledge various isekai and anime tropes since it deals in deconstruction, satire, and meta aspects.

2025-04-22 20:10:53 +0000 UTCFrieren is an anomaly , just the right amount of everything , most shows you will have to chose do i want to watch action every episode or a slow burn story. But there is mushoku tensei for an example ,that has the same amounts of story/action as Frieren , but people rate it 1/10 or 10/10 because the show went a little overboard with Fanservice. if you can ignore it there is an amazing story there , but i am not sure if you should watch it on stream . (as for a quality action anime , there is chainsaw man, animation quality really good , the story is unique , the OP and ED songs were made by a lot of famous people , and there is a new ED song every episode , but if you watch that , just know you are going into it for hype action)
