Frieren ep 13x14!

Comments

The part where Heiter mentions faking being an adult until he actually is one reminds me of so many other inspiring moments in shows. One of them from a French TV show (Kaamelott) based on the Arthurian legend has Arthur's mentor calming his impostor syndrome after being promoted out of nowhere: "Pretend to deserve your rank. If you pretend well, you'll see that one day, you won't need to anymore." I like this positivity of telling someone with potential that you believe in them to do their best and deserve to be what and who they are.

I love how this show can go from the action-packed arc we just had, to this absolute beauty of character relationship building. I just love this series so much man.

Didn’t even think about that - god that makes me so sad 😭

Thanks Tony - I didn’t expect that either tbh. I appreciate it!

Just noticed you uploaded this twice so in case you delete the other one. Here's my comment again. I love the scene where Himmel puts the ring on Frieren especially after the interpretation that the clock tower that stands between them represents the time separates them. The whole theme of Frieren being the passage of time and how we come to appreciate the past and look forward to the future. Its just a beautiful visual representation of their relationship. How they could have been together had Frieren understood the importance of time spent with those around us and how Himmel would have loved being able to spend more time with Frieren.

Thank you for your insights into not only the music but the psychology of each moment. Having seen these episodes and read the manga, I'm glad you're able to articulate the feelings I haven't been able to say.

Can I just say, I really appreciate the introspection you bring to these discussions. The show itself is very reflective, however, you're the first I've seen to discuss those themes from a personal perspective rather than just what they mean for the characters in universe. Originally I appreciated the emphasis on the score, as that's something uniquely Marco and what I expected coming in. What I didn't expect was the personal nature of these vids, and its really heartening to see.
