Patreon Changes Incoming and Your Thoughts

Hi Patreon members, As I move into year 3 (holy fuck how!?) of the youtube channel I'm starting to look ahead to changes I want to make both in terms of the content I produce but also how to navigate the patreon more effectively.  Right now, admittedly, it feels a bit all over the place and I very much would like to streamline the experience so that it is easier both for me from a workload perspective and also for you and other potential patrons so it is easier to navigate and understand for a more cohesive and organized experience.

With that, I'd like to present you with a restructured set of patreon tiers that I will be implementing and am very open to your feedback.

It seems there is no right or wrong way to create a patreon where generous folks like can support a creator so I have tried my best to formulate something that I feel would be worth your money and worth my time!

$1.50 tier: exists to say: Hi Marco - love your work, keep it up.

$3 tier: Early access to edited videos available on the patreon, access to the monthly patreon music sharing live stream.

$7 tier: I am intending to raise the price up from $5. At this tier, patrons will receive: Early access to videos, discord access, podcast download functions (yes all marcomeatball videos will be available on the streaming platforms that patreon works with thanks to RSS - need to do more research), Access to the monthly patreon music sharing live stream, and educational videos filmed specifically for patreon (more to come on this as I brainstorm how I want this to go.), Discord access

$10 tier: Early access videos, name in credits, monthly access to dump up to 5 songs into the marcomeatball must listen vgm list, scrapping the voting structure which, while fun, is over complex and a bit too hands on for me, personally. Podcast access, Exclusive monthly Patreon music live stream, Discord access pt1

$50 tier: Early access videos, name at the top of the credits list, guaranteed songs to be listened to in the monthly patreon stream with a detailed analysis, an operatic rendition of happy birthday for your birthday posted on patreon (subject to change), discord access, podcast access.

$100 tier: Same as the other tiers but with your name in the credits and in the pinned comment for each video after my random mesage.

Shifting into 2024 one of the big priorities for me, frankly, is to do more. Which sounds odd considering I rarely miss a video, but, I need more editing, more time to write scripts, more time to create meaningful videos surrounding discussion about music.

On top of reactions, interviews, the like. Patreon, in its current state provides me the ability to pay Nathan, my fantastic editor, and Raul, my thumbnail artist, both of which I really couldn't live without. If it weren't for you. I'd be really fucked.  You may or may not know it - but I've become a bit meh about being only known as a "reactor" - I want to create more thought pieces around music content, more comparison videos, more things that aren't just reactions. Because I think I can offer more.

I also want to explore creating a video series based on educational subjects for patreon that can also help folks who aren't musically savvy understand things a bit better. Maybe even learn how to understand music from an emotional perspective more deeply! What makes a song happy? What makes a song sad? I know i can help you feel these things more deeply.
