SONG SUGGESTIONS THREAD
Added 2022-05-20 15:58:13 +0000 UTCThis is the first song suggestions thread and it will likely stay up for a bit of time.
Here, you can suggest songs you'd like me to listen to. As a reminder, these are not guaranteed song requests, but suggestions for the channel and a max of 2 until the next thread appears. (This will likely stay up for a few months)
I will do my best to get to as many of them as possible as I also work through the long list of requested songs from a previous Patreon model which you can see here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1573QUejDtpgbJMBklNIQ8xUN2OU3fMkjQjhV-qx6TfY/edit#gid=1253234201 - in case you're wondering what's coming down the pipeline.
Please include video links to youtube with your suggestions and we're I able to get to your suggestion, wether you'd want it to be blind or studied a bit.
Thanks!
Marco

Here's my August suggestions. Since Trails from Zero is finally coming out stateside in September, the suggestions are both related to that game. [Song]: Someday, Surely [Source]: The Legend of Heroes: Zero no Kiseki Super Arrange Version (commercial album, 2011) [Composers]: Yukihiro Jindo (arrange), Takahiro Unisuga (original) [Preferred Link]: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaWEEW5i_Rg [Context]: A song used for various emotional moments in Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero. [Notes]: The Trails series has many heartfelt pieces, with this one in particular coming from the Crossbell arc. I think this one needs the least context to understand the direction and depth of its yearning, which is essentially indicated by the title. (I consider this to be the best version; the original is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9y2-jL-a4c and remake version is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xs8so3vJ9l0) [Song]: Descent of the Aions [Source]: Legend of Heroes: Ao no Kiseki Evolution (videogame, PS Vita, 2014) [Composer]: Yukihiro Jindo (arrange), Saki Momiyama (original) [Preferred Link]: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWCfHmh5bGs [Context]: A sinister organization has reverse-engineered ancient technology and used it to create a number of mecha. This track plays when the ultimate versions of these mecha literally descend from the heavens to menace the protagonists. [Notes]: This piece is one of the strongest examples of situationally-appropriate videogame music that I can ever recall experiencing. Its grandiose intensity sells the scene to which it belongs like few pieces do. The track title, 神機降臨, literally means "Descent of the God-Machines". (As an aside, this is the remake version. The original, which I consider good but lesser, is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMtaOx_j17U )

2022-08-01 19:46:07 +0000 UTCNow for my August suggestions. I'll try not to forget to add suggestions on time in the coming months so it doesn't look like I'm double posting again XD The following song plays during emotional moments with high stakes. Drifting Soul - Xenoblade Chronicles 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvTb1VgABw8 This next one plays during cutscenes where an important battle begins to tip in favor of one side over the other, and is Xenoblade 2's equivalent of the song Engage The Enemy from XC1. Counterattack - Xenoblade Chronicles 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aElM_uHL00E
