The way that Raven framed I the bird situation is that it wasn’t out of consent from her point of view. Obviously Qrow doesn’t see it that way. And Yang is inclined to believe Raven’s perspective because she was in a situation where her arm was cut off and she also didn’t originally consent to getting a new arm in the beginning. Yang is okay with her arm now but Raven’s explanation harkens to how she felt about losing her own agency over that. So Raven and Qrow have 2 different points of views. However, if you notice, Oz does point out that Raven must have really trusted Yang in order to give up this information. Also now it’s confirmed that Oz is the “Odin” in this universe too. The shaking in Yang’s hand is still the effects of PTSD which hasn’t gone away. And Yang has big abandonment issues that stems from her own biological mother leaving when she was born, her stepmother who went missing, even Ruby abandoned her to a degree. And we have Blake, who Yang has a huge connection with and feels scorned because she risked her own life for Blake and lost an arm for her only for Blake to leave because Blake (as she stated in Volume 2, is a “runner”). So yeah she’s incredibly hurt. And she thinks that Blake tossed her like a piece of trash because that’s how she felt all her life with people leaving her. In the Beacon Arc (Volumes 1-3) Yang compartmentalized her feelings up until the Fall of Beacon because she didn’t want to show negativity in front of Ruby since she was raising her. Yang was parentified at a very young age and became Ruby’s surrogate mom. She basically gave up her childhood for Ruby and made she that Ruby never felt left behind. Now everything she’s kept inside is coming out. Oh…the voice actress for Yang (Barbara Dunkelman) had once mentioned during her podcast that Yang’s “love language” was “Acts of Service” so she has a very self-sacrificing mentality which is basically how her semblance works as their semblances are born from their personalities. Like Blake’s semblance was born from her ability to run away. Yang is acting out from her connection to Blake but also because all her life she was always kept in the dark when it came to information. From family to friends. By the way, now that you know about Yang and Ilia’s feelings for Blake, the fandom (during the time that this originally aired) called this the “Gay Episode.” This was a monumental episode when it came out and a lot of us cheered. It carried on the elements that Monty originally wanted to bring in which was including LGBTQ in the show. There’s an interview that occurred during the Volume 2 broadcast where Monty talks about LGBTQ so it’s not a spoiler since you are on Volume 5 (Video Clip of Monty planning LGBTQ characters on RWBY) https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxZ3nQzeKKhvTLZyz4HdSPrJEZJCMr2-0s There’s a reason why Blake is desired by everyone. Miles Luna who wrote this scene explained that since Blake is based off of Belle from Beauty and the Beast, they intentionally made her the “Beauty” on the team, which is also reflected in her name. And just like the original Beauty and the Beast, Belle also attracted many potential suitors. Blake’s harem = Adam, Yang, Sun, Illia Also Ghira (Blake’s father is a Panther Faunus whose allusion is Bagheera from Jungle Book)). Adam is both Beast and Gaston
