Oh about that "Yang and Raven" scene where they needed to talk, according to CRWBY Monty wanted that scene in but apparently it wasn't supposed to be in there. Monty sort of stuck that scene in there last minute so CRWBY (RWBY Production crew) just left it in there as "a dream" and pretty much has no basis for the storyline. So for now it's just some easter egg for the fans. There was a lot of Raven-involved scenes that were removed due to time and budget. Raven was supposed to get into a fight with Team JNPR at the end of Volume 2 but that didn't pan out.
