Glad you seemed to enjoy this and recognised Renee! In the same year she made this movie she would get the call for Xena. I really like her arc in this from the obsessive young actress blinded and dazzled by some of the fakery of the Hollywood world to a courageous woman who goes the distance to save others lives and thinks more carefully about taking a deeper path as the good actress she'd like to be. And her relationship that develops with Jim Rockford ends up a touching surrogate father- daughter one. James Garner was so great as the character and originated it in the classic TV show The Rockford Files that ran for six seasons from 1974-1980 (he was nominated for an Emmy award for Rockford for 5 years straight and won one in 1977). This movie was the second of 8 Rockford reunion movies filmed from 1994-1999 and featured as well as Garner's return a lot of characters from the series including the unforgettable Angel here played expertly by Stuart Margolin who Rockford had a constant love-hate friendship with.

I'm especially happy you dropped this tonight as i had a quite crappy day here today and this will be a nice tonic to end the evening :-) I'm curious as hell to see if you recognise Renee O'Connor in a great pre-Xena role in here. Also James Garner as Jim Rockford is a legend and I love his chemistry with her in this movie.
