Music and Lyrics- Thank you so very much once again for another delightful movie reaction, Sora! I love this movie, and I had so much fun watching it again with you!! I'm so happy you loved it too! :) I enjoy Drew Barrymore in a lot of her movies. She's very cute and funny. But for me... Hugh Grant is absolutely fantastic in this movie, and he steals he movie! I absolutely love him as an actor because he can do it all! He can be funny, hilarious, charming, sweet, cute, dramatic, mysterious, and just adorable. I love him in a number of his movies, but Music and Lyrics is definitely one of my favorites of his. :) Both Brad Garrett (Chris, Alex's manager) and Kristen Johnston (Rhonda, Sophie's sister) are fantastic in this movie as well! I love their characters, as well as Rhonda's husband and kids too. As for Cora's character, and the actress who plays her... Haley Bennett, she is definitely meant to be a character we don't like or understand. She's meant to be annoying. I've never seen this actress in anything else, so I don't know whether or not she can really act better than she does in this movie. I suspect so, but who knows. I love this movie's characters, the music, and its overall storyline. This movie is definitely one of my favorite romantic comedies. It's just a lot of fun, the story is simple, yet sweet, and you can tell that each of the actors just have a lot of fun working together. As far as the music goes... I really love the two songs written by Alex and Sophie. Or rather... the song he writes for her titled... Don't Write Me Off Just Yet, and the song they write together... A Way Back Into Love, just as it is meant to be and definitely not the way Cora tried to rewrite it. Overall... a wonderful, sweet movie, and I loved watching it with you, dear friend.
