2024-09-09 15:58:52 +0000 UTCWell, what happened was that Lucy Lawless was in Los Angeles to appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. While doing a sketch for the show, in which she was to ride a horse, there was an accident, and Lucy's pelvis was badly injured. This led to numerous changes to schedules and episodes, including some that had already been filmed. This was why Xena remained stuck in Callisto's body until this episode (and they used stock footage of Xena on a beach at the end.) It really ended up being a great effort this season to deal with an injured star. And this is a great episode.
