2024-07-08 22:37:17 +0000 UTCThis is still my favourite companion leaving scene because of how the Doctor is trying to hold back his feelings at Sarah leaving - Tom Baker does a great job of doing that subtly here and Elisabeth Sladen matches it perfectly. They actually rewrote the scene themselves because they felt it would be more powerful if both tried to pull back how they felt. They are still my favourite Doctor-Companion team and Sarah was so iconic. Tom admitted many years later how he dreaded Elisabeth leaving the show because of the chemistry they shared and confessed he was really in love with her.
