It's nice we actually got to see Lyceus. But Gabby is the focal point here, and Renee O'Connor's performance, because seeing her not only damaged, but become a killer, is what pushes Xena to change everything back. Xena's talking to her mother's sarcophagus is also good.

2024-06-29 15:42:38 +0000 UTCRenee O'Connor steals this one for me with her portrayal of such a different Gabrielle right down to her deadened eyes that are devoid of hope. Her gleeful enjoyment of killing at the end is also startlingly acted and as you said its very telling that seeing Gabrielle do that is what spurs Xena to say goodbye to her other life with her brother.
