Yes, this was indeed the feature length pilot movie that introduced the series and you can already see there's plenty of intrigue building up in the storylines. Babylon 5 was designed as a five year novel for television and a lot of the big arc-driven series of today like Game Of Thrones had inspiration from how this show ushered in a new era of that kind of storytelling for TV. Its a journey that's very rewarding where every character can be not totally what you think they are on face value and their progressions and developments are truly interesting and compelling. I regard it as one of the finest written and best plotted shows ever produced and think you will greatly enjoy it. In fact in your PMs a link to episode 1 of Season 1 is awaiting you as my Double Pixie Dust choice for next month alongside the next Cold Case episode :-)
