www.soramiyano.com ✮

Hi guys! I have a website! It's still in the works but I have some things done and keep adding little by little, in case you wanna check it out

You will be able to stream only an hour of video, if the reaction is over an hour and you'd like to see the rest of it you're gonna have to download the reaction. Sorry about that, I'll let you know when I fix that.

The superb entrance of the great Hudson Leick as Callisto and the series finally gets the nemesis we needed for Xena - not only a great match for her fighting and skill but also a haunting reminder of her dark past as well so a character that can really get under Xena's skin and confront her with some honest uncomfortable truths too. This episode apart from Hudson's great performance benefits from some great direction from TJ Scott - the intimate and emotional campfire scene with Gabrielle and Xena, the pulse pounding chase by horse between Xena and Callisto and the final classic ladder fight sequence which is really cinematic in style and one of Xena's best action scenes. One of the series' top 10 episodes for me and a further example of how the show is moving to another level now.

It's interesting that you took such note of Callisto's hissing. I mostly think of her scream. ... The comic relief in this heavy episode was provided by Joxer, played by Ted Raimi, whose brother, Sam, was an executive producer of Xena and Hercules (although his partner Rob Tapert was the main producer in charge of these shows.) ... It's entirely appropriate that Xena's list of people whose deaths might send her off the deep end includes Hercules along with her mother and Gabrielle. That conversation by the campfire may be the very best scene in an episode full of great scenes.
